BONUS update: Join Beyond Monopoly! for a week’s board gaming in France

Hello readers, here’s a bonus update courtesy of Paul which doesn’t mention the 7 Wonders tournament anywhere!

In September 2017 a group of BMers are off to a holiday site near Nantes in Western France for 7 days of fun and relaxation.  The resort,  La Pas Opton, is a British-run 4-star holiday site in St Gilles-Croix-de-Ville, in the Vendee region near Nantes.   During the year the site offers Christian worship and study holidays in the Spring Harvest style and 2017 is the 4th year they have run a board game week at the end of their summer season which is increasing in popularity every year.

BM has reserved a luxury villa in the resort at a very reasonable price and we are looking for people to join us.  We currently have 1 twin room available for 2 people to share so if you’d like to come along – why don’t you?

Depending on travel and the exchange rate it is likely that the whole week will cost between £200 and £250 per person (including the flight but add food and drink to that).  Flights go direct to Nantes from Birmingham or Manchester and. hopefully, as many of us that can will travel over together.

If you’d like to reserve a place or have any further questions, please contact Paul Yates on paul dot andrew dot yates at (email written in plain test to prevent spam, ‘dot’ is actually ‘.’ rather than the word dot).  If enough people show an interest then we could look at booking more accommodation in either another villa (if available) or one of the mobile homes they have there.

The resort website is here:

Thanks, Paul

  1. Ben the French says:

I would like to point out that the name of the town is Saint Gilles Croix de Vie (life) instead of Ville (town). A good seaside city!
