We meet as usual this Saturday, 2nd May, 2015, in the Bar Convent on Blossom Street in York. We start at 10am and close at 9pm, but you can come and go as you like. If you arrive after 5pm, the front door will be closed, so please call us to be let in – our phone number is 07494131780.
This Saturday, the Tour de Yorkshire visits York, which means loads of roads will be closed. The race will even go past the front of the Bar Convent, so you could pop out at watch if you time it right. It will mean travelling to us will be a little trickier, though. The key points here are:
- There will be no access to Nunnery Lane on Saturday until ~5pm – so parking at the Convent will be unavailable during the day
- Buses will be diverted and rerouted
- iTravelYork has a useful page detailing the closures
- First York also have a detailed breakdown of the bus changes
If you’re driving, I’d recommend using the Park and Ride if you don’t mind leaving by 8pm (when the last buses leave the city) – Rawcliffe, Poppleton and Askham Bar will all get you to the station.
However you end up arriving, we look forward to seeing you!
