Very wisely, the organisers of International TableTop Day have chosen a regular BM! Saturday meet for the event this year. Perhaps they realised that by synching with us, golden opportunities would open up before them like… erm…
ahem.
Anyway, we meet as normal this Saturday 5th April 2014 from 10am to 9pm at the Bar Convent on Blossom Street in York. It’s just a short walk from the station so pop on over. The front door closes at 4pm, but just ring the bell and wait to be let in. Remember, the Bar Convent has free WiFi, so ask for the password and get tweeting your pics of joy. We’re @BMYork on Twitter and @BarConventYork for our lovely hosts.
We’re not the only ones running ITTD events in the area. Leeds Meeples are on in er Leeds, Newcastle Gamers are on in er Newcastle. In York, play more games at Travelling Man on Goodramgate (BM! members get 10% off games!). And our good friend James Farren-Ross is running an event in Leeming and also raising cash for the NSPCC.
We’re getting more new games in this Saturday, Lewis & Clark, Bargain Hunter, Splendor, and maybe Small Worlds Realms if postie delivers. We finally got Hansa last week, a classic game you’ll enjoy.
Two new gamers (new to Beyond Monopoly, not gaming 😉 ) hopefully joining this Saturday 🙂 Looking forward to it!
hehehe Excellent! Just reading your blog too. Very interesting.
Sorry I was not able to come this Saturday (quite busy) and sounds good > should make it this Friday evening though.
Very good! We were busy too, packed out solid. We had 61 people in, our highest total ever.
