We meet as normal on the 1st Saturday of the month, Saturday 2nd March 2013. We meet as normal in the room upstairs in the Gymnasium at the Railway Institute, Queen St, York, from 10am to 10pm. You can stay as long or little as you like, which is also as normal.
What’s not normal but is working very well, is the Blue Meeple Cafe. Paul’s done a lot of work getting this organised. You can now have hot tea or coffee, with milk and sugar, or Pot Noodles (yes, really), cup soup, soft drinks, bottled water and choccy bars. It costs 30p for the tea/coffee (10p off if you re-use your cup), and more for the other stuff, so bring change.
The Blue Meeple Cafe is a real bonus for us. We’ve been running 8 years and this is the first time we’re offering refreshments in house. Instead of making a thermos of stewed tea, or going to the station for a £3 cup of froth, you can get a hot fresh drink right where you are. Thank you, Paul!
No, we’re not getting a microwave.
